"True, Pure, Simple, Unconditional Love"

Writer: Summer WilliamsSummer Williams

"At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31: 1-3 KJV

God said once we decided to follow Him, He would never leave us nor forsake us. No matter how many times we fail Him, He still loves us the same. We cannot do anything to lose God's love. How many people in this world do we know like that? Over and over again we fail to be there for others, could possibly even curse others. We lust, covet, become jealous because of everything they have. No matter how many times we do these things to God, he tells us 'I love you still.'

There is no better friend like Jesus.

Can you imagine what His laughter is like? Maybe, peaceful, silk-like, contagious, a loving sound. Can you imagine what a hug from God will be like when He is telling you 'well-done?' Maybe it will be a soft, warm embrace that gives you a feeling of 'everything is going to be alright.' You may think you are not worthy of this love because no matter how hard you try, you still fail Him.

Look at Moses and Joshua leading God's chosen people through the wilderness. Over and over again the people sinned and questioned. Moses and Joshua even looked to God and asked how they were going to be able to lead the people. But, God never left them. God forgave them. God was there when they needed Him. Even on the days where it feels like you deserve hell because of how wrong you have been, just know, God still loves you. He wants to make His power known. Seek mercy and forgiveness. He has plenty of it and willing to supply your every need. He still wants to help you with your problems. He still cares and He still wants to hear from you. This is true, pure, simple, unconditional love.
