Dear Lord

Thank You for being such a good, good Father. Thank You for Your grace and never-ending love. There are times it does feel like You are silent to my prayers. It feels like You do not care to listen or "fix" what feels bad in my situation. You say, 'ask and it shall be given.' Well, I am asking, where is it? The days of yearning are becoming increasingly prolonged. I feel like my asking is never going to happen. But You, O Lord, have shown me something...
You have taught me so much in these silent days. I have grown fond of the waiting days. I have been able to grow as a person and know who I truly am in You, O lord.
My faith has deepened in the promises of Your word, and my hope has blossomed for the future because of what You have done.
You have taught me to listen closely. You have taught me to be still and know You are the Almighty God that can do anything. I have learned that I do not deserve the things I ask for but should consider it a blessing that You have enabled it. My so-called problems that needed to be "fixed," were not problems at all. You showed me how to be patient, how to be abased and how to wait properly. You showed me that You had something so, so much better. When I was finally able to see the result, it felt like I never waited.
Thank You for being such a good, good Father. Thank you for Your grace and never-ending love.
Yours lovingly, waiting patiently
