I can not get over how scary these times are getting. Even as a Christian, knowing that my forever is going to be secure with the one and only Christ, I’m still shaken. I’m shaken with the thought of this could possibly be the end times. As the Bible directs us, we seem to be living in the last days. This might seem a little contradicting.

Why would a Christian be afraid of the end when they know they’re going to heaven?

I think it is safe to say we all have some kind of plan about how we want our lives to play out. If we have that one whom our souls love, then we could possibly be desiring that engagement, wedding planning and that forever spent with them. For others, it might be finding that special someone. We all have plans! I could go on to say that, ‘God’s plans are bigger than ours,’ phrase that everyone uses and that is so true. But, pain still just seems to swell up in your chest thinking you won’t marry the man of your dreams, or finding the right one. We have so many plans for our lives I think we often times forget to think about God’s timing. If you have found the one that you wish to spend the rest of your life with and fear about the Lord coming back before you get to, ask yourself or them, if they know they’ll be with you in Heaven. I so wish to marry the man I can’t go 2 seconds without thinking about and it frightens me to think I won’t get that dream wedding. But, God’s word gives peace. Jesus says,

“For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” (Matthew‬ ‭12:50‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

If that someone has given their life to the Lord, guess what, you are going to spend eternity with them! They are your brother or sister in Christ. This will not be the end! Not only do we need to have this conversation with someone we wish or have married, salvation needs to be a conversation with every person we come in contact with! I would hate to think I have family I have not spoken to about the Lord. You could be that one light to your lost cousin, aunt, uncle, brother, mother.

The end of this world is nearing, but another is on the horizon.

Just think, here on earth, walking down an aisle of flower petals, may not be the time you start your forever with that person. Forever may start while you are walking through gates made of pearl!
