In this Christmas season, there’s just one question I can’t seem to get off my mind. Why would someone so Holy and righteous love me? I am worthless. I am constantly sinning, even when I don’t fully realize it. But, the whole reason for the Christmas story is to look at His death. Christmas is not all about the baby in the manger. It is looking at why the baby came, by a Virgin, born a Jew. He was to die for my sins and yours. This took place because of love. Out of every story that has ever been wrote, Christ being born to die for our sins is the greatest love story.

Greatest love story

Because of this love and the shedding of His blood, we can come to Him. The book of Mark tells of Jesus sitting with the publicans and sinners. How is gospel going to get out if we sit with the saints? Christ came for us. He came for the forsaken. He came for the sinner. With mankind being born into sin, this is the greatest gift anyone can receive. When you feel alone, when you feel everyone has turned against you, know that there is one that sticketh closer than a brother. He is there for you because He loves you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. The world looks gray at times, but He is the Light and in Him is no darkness. As one of His children, bought with the blood, He forgets the wrong we have done simply because He loves us. He is the picture of perfection and everything we should strive to be. This Christmas season look to the babe as victory, peace and a friend. “And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
